There's a longer story here that I'm not ready to tell yet, but after talking with Mr. Lumpy's vet and his real family (we are his adopted family) we eased his way to a less painful place.
Thta must be hard. Bless you kind adoptive family and bless Mr Lumpy. A good dog.
