Little Tujunga fire

Did you ever have a dream that included smell?

I dreamed I was at a pool party, sitting on a bench. An old friend, Larry, sat down next to me and I could smell the cigarette smoke clinging to him. "Jeez, Lare," I said, "move over, you stink!"

He moved closer, pressing his dirty denim shoulder against me, and suddenly I awoke, and could smell the smoke blown through the canyon from the fires in the Valley.

  1. That's funny. I can't smell this one although I can see the smoke.

Oddly, we got a big noseful of the Camp Pendelton fire last Thursday and that was far away in, you know, Camp Pendleton.

  3. Wow, I dont know that I've ever had a 'smell' in a dream. I did dream in Spanish for a while when I was in college. That was wierd.

  5. I once had a dream where I was in the snow, freezing, wearing little more than my unders. I woke up, and it turns out that the temp (typical for MN) had dropped into the low 40's overnight. In August.

Dreams are so predictable, yet not at all.

  6. Weird dream, G! I hope you're far away from this fire. The Cali's fire is all over the news.

Have a wonderful day and thanks always for your kind words. You're truly a good friend.

P.S. We did catch a bass and I grilled it but didn't really care for it.
