Pink Saturday - Pink breezes

Pink Saturday - Beverly, at the blog "How Sweet the Sound" hosts Pink Saturday. Let the color pink inspire you!

This is an image painted on an art tile, seen at an antique show. This 1920s beauty with her wide-brimmed hat is caught in an instant, blown by the wind, amidst the weeping willow leaves, in ceramic and glaze.

I took this photo last year, at a show that highlighted California and old Mexican antiques and art. The show comes back to town next weekend. I'm looking forward to seeing more, and I'll bring you back some great sights.

    I must tell you that this piece of art speaks to me. Of course, I love the colors, but the vision of the breeze is what gets me. I love wind. We had a windy day here recently, and I remarked to someone how much I love the wind. I've lived most of my life near the ocean, and I so miss those ocean breezes. I can close my eyes and imagine the caress.

    The air is cooler, the days are shorter, winter is on its way. From now until April of next year I will have to rely on Pink Saturday for my pink fix!
