I had every intention of responding to your email with photos and details . . . and then I got an itch and dragged the kids to the neighborhood home/garden store and bought some things. I looked for plants that could handle some shade - looks like my little patch gets sunlight from early morning through early afternoon - probably about 6 hours total.
I blogged about it with pics, today. It may not work out perfectly and I'll be researching more how to take care of what I've planted . . . but I just wanted to do it! ;)
Let me know if you see any major mistakes. For example, I think maybe I planted the flowers too close together.

Yesterday while I slowed my car to a stop at the red light at the corner of rose & 9th, I made eye contact with a huge brown mutt in the back of a pick up truck. We coudn't stop looking at each other. I knew, and I think the dog knew, that it was sitting in the wrong vehicle. We fell in love. And then the light changed. He/she went straight and I turned. Sigh.
Jack looks very huggable!

P.S. Jack's bushy tail always makes me smile!

Jack..."you da dog", man. Great pictures!
ReplyDeleteHe's a beautiful dog! Our dog rolls over on his back and asks for a tickle - is Jack doing that, or merely a bit of pre-sleep rolling??
ReplyDeleteJenn@Juggling sent me over. It seems we both have the gardening bug, but what I’m really envying now are the tarts!
ReplyDeleteIt's a dog's life, isn't it?
