Guess where I'm going?


Living here in L.A., everyone is aware of award shows. If nothing else, you learn to know when they will affect the traffic!!!

I've been here for over ten years, and since my work is what you might call "Show-biz adjacent," I've been on site for award shows a couple of times, and the glamor and excitement is always fun.

But this year, for the very first time, I will actually be attending a show!!

No, I'm not up for an award!

But a friend is, and [The Man I Love] and I have been offered tickets to attend!

I've been trying to figure out what it's going to be like. Where do you park? How far do you have to walk? Is there a coat-check? How early do you have to arrive? Will there be food?

Of course, the biggest question is "What am I going to wear?" [The Man I Love] has it easy - he just has to rent a tuxedo.

But what am I going to wear? And what shoes should I wear?

    Oh my goodness, how exciting. Wear something that is comfortable, but sparkles! Take a granola bar in your purse (and aspirin-you might be there a while)!

    Oh how exciting! The closest I've been to one is ...oh yeah my dear friend's cousin is on The Office and she got to go one year with her and last year her daughter went with her...the photos were awesome on line! Have a great time, wear a stunning dress (take what photos you can) oh yeah get stunning shoes to match!

    So cool! The closest I have come was when a friend dreamed that we lived in LA and could see the Oscar red carpet. Oddly, even though it wasn't my dream, I have a very vivid memory of it ... You'll look wonderful!

    What to wear - something classic and I see blue as being very complimentary on you. Although, pink is great with every complexion.

    Shoes - a heel but a comfortable heel.
