Weekend journal

Morning mountain
Last night I had scallopine di vitello saltimbocca for dinner at a restaurant that was at one point plunged into darkness by a sudden, brief, power outage; was introduced to Michael and Kitty Dukakis; and attended a concert performance by Hugh Masekela.  Then I went home and ate crackers and cheese.

What are you up to this weekend?

  1. Nothing quite as exciting. Laundry, dishes, updating my school web page and cards with some other teachers.

  2. Driving back to West Virginia.

Woodpecker pics to come, I hope.

  3. Not a damn thing compared to you. Let's see, errands, laundry, reading John Steinbeck for a tutoring session and make chicken soup for dinner. I'm glad you had a good one--it's not even over!

  4. I am trying to find hanging wooden planters for my front porch and they don't seem to exist any more. I have been to 7 home/garden places so far with no luck. Time to search online.

  5. Nothing over here either. Trying to stay warm on a day with snow and temps in the teens, laundry, grocery shopping, you know all that really fun stuff!
