Ding Dong

Clock Tower at St. Mark's Square, Venice
I woke up this morning at 6:00 o'clock, got up, made coffee, had breakfast, and then, at 7:00 I took Jack for a walk, like I always do on weekdays, my mind occupied with what I would be dealing with later this morning at work.

Then I saw the Sunday Times in the driveway where the delivery man had tossed it.

Relax. It's Sunday.

Has  this ever happened to you?

  1. Yep.

But the reverse has, also. I remember well the morning I woke up at 7:30 A.M. for my flight out west for an inspection (flight departing at 7:55 A.M.). Luckily, I was able to reschedule everything and do it on Monday (that was a Friday morning).

  2. I woke up one day when I was eight or nine & then woke up the parental units saying I was late for school before they told me it was Saturday.

  3. At 5 am I politely asked the Kensington Park Hotel concierge for the Sunday paper. With typical English politeness, he replied it wasn't available. Upon my insistence, he pointed out "It's Saturday, ma'am". Let's just say that alcohol had something to do with my fog

  4. This summer, there have been many days when I couldn't tell you if it was Sunday or Tuesday or Friday. I can't say I like that feeling.
