There's a longer story here that I'm not ready to tell yet, but after talking with Mr. Lumpy's vet and his real family (we are his adopted family) we eased his way to a less painful place.

My heart goes out to you. It's such a hard, hard thing to do, I'm sure you did the best thing for him, he's no longer suffering or in pain.
