Louisiana iris (Iris fulva) blooming in my garden. 4.7 earthquake? I didn't feel it at all. Our house is post-and-beam construction, and generally shifts and creaks with changes of temperature when the sun goes down. It also rocks and sways and adapts to quakes.
The Man I Love says he felt it but wasn't alarmed.
He says - It take more than a 4.7 to get him off the couch.
I musta bin hungover
ReplyDeleteWith the party you had yesterday . . . maybe you were just too tired? :-)
ReplyDeleteOh but earthquakes are scary. The last one we had were it really has done a great damage was way back in 1991, I think. I didn't live here then but my cousins were and it was a scary thought!
Earthquakes must be really scary! We only get wee tremors here, but the local media makes a huge fuss about them!
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely iris, very unusual colours, and a wonderful view. But what is that interesting sculpture(?) above it?
!!!!!
ReplyDeletelove your view - love that weathervane! - love that iris
ReplyDeleteearthquakes? not so much
I will bet that I would have noticed. I'm a big ole wienie. :-)
ReplyDeleteI prefer to avoid earthquakes. I was wondering if anyone I knew in blogland was affected.
ReplyDeleteI was living in TX when the Nisqually Quake hit Olympia/Seattle. My mom called to say, "I'm alright" and I said, "Huh?"
I felt it sitting in bed on my laptop. Eddie did not feel it sitting in a chair in our home office. ??? Earthquakes have a mysterious quality about them.
ReplyDeleteHopefully there's nothing bigger than a 4.anything any time soon!
ReplyDeleteThe man you love is funny : )
