Each week Carmi at Written, Inc. has challenged readers with a theme for photographic inspiration. This week the photographic challenge continues with the theme WHITE.
Although we're not getting the winter weather most of the country is getting, it can still get frosty here in Southern California. One morning walking the dog, I took this photo of the leaves of weeds in the park, white-rimmed with frost.
beautiful photo!
ReplyDeleteisn't that white rimmed frost called rime?
I seem to remember that after looking it up when I saw The Rimers of Eldritch LOL
You know, Tristan, "Rimers of Eldritch" was the first show I worked on in NY after I moved there from college, at the Circle Repertory Theatre.
ReplyDeleteI don't think that Rime means the frosty kind of rime, but it is a good memory. Thanks.
Lovely photo!
ReplyDeleteIf Carmi has British participants, there will be absolutely no problem with white!!
It's a pretty picture but I do laugh...just a little.

I love the ephemeral nature of this shot. Subtle hints of white that we know will be gone just as soon as the sun rises high enough to burn them all off.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous and thought-provoking!
Gilly: I'm hoping my Commonwealth cousins weigh in with some UK-winter scenes!
Beautiful...it looks positively sugar frosted!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty...I could send you a bunch of white/snow pictures from around here:) It actually started melting today!!!!
