Feral Parrots

Or Peril Ferrets. Or whatever you call them. This was the best I could do, with the telephoto lens, as they were perched on the wires beyond our deck.


There's a flock of about half a dozen of them flying through our part of the canyon, making the most raucous noise!

    We have some flocks of feral Australian parrots up in the bush that have got established but do not seem to thrive. It is a lot colder here. But it is quite something to see as they are gaudily coloured and most NZ birds are darker coloured.
