Spell check?

OK, I believe you, but....who's your sign-painter?

This small place - which probably has quite acceptable food - is on South Broadway just north of the Orpheum Theatre, in downtown Los Angeles.

My favorite in LA is an apartment building on Overland that was obviously trying to conjure up the lush and carefree Mediterranean aura the name "Capri" represents.

Alas, the building sign reads "Crapi Apartments".

Who is to argue? I'd go and eat just because.

I think I'd prefer Exellent Food to a Crapi Apartment.

Maybe!

There's a building I always liked seeing in Seattle, an old wooden frame apartment building, with a sign over the door that said "The Undre Arms"

There's been some real howlers posted up in the UK, but I can't remember any of them!

They don't seem to teach spelling like they used to!

This makes me smile. Maybe they were taking gastronomic license. ;-)

And very sad that I had to do a triple-take before I could find the mistake. So much for my proof-reading skills!
