Thematic Photographic - Trees

Each week Carmi at Written, Inc. has challenged readers with a theme for photographic inspiration. This week the photographic challenge continues with the theme "Trees."

These tall palms line the avenues and walkways around the Anaheim Convention Center. I love how the close planting made their crowns of leaves look like interlocked stars against the blue.

They create great shadows, too.

I read back as far as the snake...couldn't look at that one. I love Cuban sandwiches...we love Columbia restaurant in Tampa. I'm actually in Sarasota and while it isn't a pleasure trip...it has really helped to look out my mom's hospital window and see palm trees. We've even seen the water a few times on lunch breaks. I don't see Iris around here, we have them all over the place in Illinois.

I love the one of the fronds against the sky! Great shot! those trees have interesting bark, too.

Would love to get round there with my camera!

In both cases, it's the geometry that catches my eye and refuses to let go. I love how you've shot both of these. You have a heck of a gift of composition.
