Spring in Malibu

Click to"embiggen"
This afternoon a great celebration marked the birthdays of two good friends. We gathered at a country home high on a hill over Point Dume in Malibu.

A brisk wind blew from the northwest, the sun was golden, and the scent of 'Cecile Brunner' roses filled the air.

And there was Dorothianne's strawberry-rhubarb pie. It was a perfect Sunday.

How beautiful!
When we move, I am most definitely planting rhubarb in my garden. I miss it. And my husband misses rhubarb custard pie.
