String of crystal

I almost walked into it. At the entrance to the gate, a spiderweb. I only saw it because the misty morning rain had festooned the web with crystal drops.

It's so ephemeral, it's almost impossible to capture the delicacy of it.

Against the cloudy sky.

The intricate structure of it, like a panel of lace curtain hanging from the arbor.

Later, when the sun had come up and the mist had gone, I went up the path to the mailbox and found the web was gone.

Nice pictures!

(And I'm glad this post had nothing to do with Newt.)

That is SO beautiful! Especially against the blue whatever-it-is!

What a lovely, lovely picture. I am one of those weird people who like spiders. I'm not crazy about them crawling on me, but I find them so strong and industrious. Their webs are works of art, and I always feel bad when I have to destroy one for some reason.

Gorgeous. Lovely light and nice composition. I'm sure the spider would be proud!
