Pink Saturday - Pinks in Paris

Pink Saturday - Beverly, at the blog "How Sweet the Sound" hosts Pink Saturday. Let the color pink inspire you!

If you're looking for Pink to inspire you, there's no better city than Paris to find it. Here's a florist's shop with lots of pink flowers. Parisian seem to love flowers - there are plenty of flower shops, and colorfully planted window boxes are on every apartment house.

A stroll down the street will provide you with lots of pink inspiration.

You can peak into the window of a boulangerie or viennoiserie for some tempting pink pastries.

Be careful not to get run over by a pink scooter. It's easy to get distracted because there are so many wonderful things to look at.

The latest fashions are displayed in windows along the fashionable boulevards in St. Germain de Pres. Here's a window at the Kenzo boutique.

Of course, ordinary Parisians are quite fashionable too. This young woman is wearing pink stockings and yellow boots with her mini skirt.

Anything goes, as far as it comes to pink in Paris. Here's a pink leather bustier on display at a vintage clothing stall at the Flea Market.

Of course there are more sedate and innocent items to be found there. Here's a vintage child's dress, pink and trimmed with ribbons.

Lots of vintage pinkies can be found here!

But it's not all about material things. Paris inspires the mind and the spirit. One is reminded of its history.

A tapestry depicting a Renaissance scene.

A polychrome painting of a saint in a medieval chapel. Hmmmm....her sleeves match the mini-skirt stockings!

And last, like a blessing, the rays of sunlight, tinted pink and magenta through the great stained glass, on a stone column at Notre Dame cathedral

Aaawww don't just flowers make adifference? Without it, I bet those buildings will be just dull and soooo bare. I love the vintage child's dress. What a beautiful display it would be in the bedroom. It's so fluffy! Hmmmm maybe I can squirm myself into it. Bet I can fit on that one LOL
