Thematic Photographic - Travel

Each week Carmi at Written, Inc. has challenged readers with a theme for photographic inspiration. This week the photographic challenge continues with the theme TRAVEL.

This is a photo I took from the window of a plane this summer as we flew out of Los Angeles International Airport, heading to Paris. Planes heading east take off west toward the Pacific Ocean, and then bank around to the south, curving over the water. The land mass you see here is Catalina Island. The white streaks in the blue are the wakes of speedboats on the water.

Nice picture. Shots out of plane windows are very cool. Too bad on my only plane trip in the last decade, I had to sit in the middle seat of the middle row.

Here's mine

Those white streaks aren't geese, I hope. That can't end well...unless your nickname is Sully.

Lovely photo - AND you've got the horizon straight! As Mr. G always wants to sit next to the window, I have to take photos screwed round him!

I take it those white streaks are boats? ;)

It makes me anxious just looking at your photo! As much as I love travelling, I am a complete panic attack during take off.

Beautiful shot of the vista....

That's a lovely photo. I love your photos from Paris, such magnificent buildings.

The photo I posted for travel yesterday was from a transparency that I scanned recently. My slides had been in a box, packed away, and I decided it was time to preserve them before they deteriorated. I have some more up today.

Wonderful shot! Great choice for Carmi's "travel" thematic photographic! I bet we travel all over the world this week and probably just down our own street too.

Just finished up the "red" challenge from last week so I'm just starting think about travel. The wheels are turning though.

It is a beautiful photo. I don't fly, so I will never have one like this in my photo album.
