This is Jack in a deep sleep. I have never known a dog to sleep this way - so vulnerable, so trusting, so relaxed. There's a puppy-goofiness about it that is hilarious, and so sweet.What really surprises me about this is that Jack came to us from the pound, where he was sent after being picked up as a stray on the mean streets of L.A. Yet he is relaxed and secure enough with us to fall asleep in a position like this.
We're traveling this week, and Jack is at the Topanga Doggie Resort - probably sleeping just like this. With his junk all hanging out.
