Topanga sunset

Back home. While we were gone, L.A. had an incredible, historic heat wave. Temperatures hit 113 degrees downtown.

Tonight, here in Topanga, this is the sunset sky.

Ten minutes after I took this photo, the sun had set, the sky was grey, and it began to thunder and rain.

I think the heat is breaking.

You certainly picked a good wknd. to head north.

Haven't been up there since '87 or '86, so I'll be checking your pics & story; I'm glad to see the Edgewater's still there.

Drove through Topanga Canyon on my way to the SAn Fernando Mission. Beautiful eerie landscape. YOu captured it well in your photo.

THAT is your absolute best photo. It does feel like the last blast of summer may be on its way out.
