Four days of rain, Sunday through Tuesday. It's wet and dangerous out there. It's been so long since we've had rain that no one remembers how to drive in it.
Don't drink and drive! |
Here in Topanga, the squalls are particularly fierce, with water flowing down the hillsides and rockfalls off the cliff.
But it's not all bad. We're looking at clearing tomorrow, then a sunny warm weekend. Stay cool!

Having grown up (if not matured) in S.F. & Seattle, I never thought I'd miss rain, but I do.
P.S.: 60% chance of rain a wk. from Friday.
A phrase comes unbidden to my mind- a local bar owner with a thick brogue advertising his Long Island pub, "Drive safe and keep it on the road!"
He always follow that up by affectionately calling his potential customers, "dirty scalawags" or "dirty little lambies". Funny the things that one remembers... I can still sing the "Honda of Mineola" jingle twenty years after the place, which I've never visited, closed.
