Those crewes are really awesome, they remind me of the quarter-based factions of old Italian city-states, each with their different livery and regalia.
New Orleans really is an Old World city plunked down in the southern U.S. My favorite waitress at one of the local bars is planning a N.O. trip after Superbowl Sunday. I'll refer her to your blog, Aunt Snow.
