Here's a winter picture, good for December. This is a view of the Fox River in Geneva, Illinois on a December day in 2007, after a night-time snowfall. We were staying in an inn on the shore of the river, and awoke to this view.
Isn't it beautiful and mysterious? Isn't it even better to know that on the day I am posting it, the temperature where I am in Los Angeles is 75 degrees?
Ha!

Beautiful! We are so very lucky with our winters.
Brrr! Never lived in real snow country, but after many yrs. in L. A. I do miss the rain. That looks very tempting, for about two days.
