"I had a friend named Ramblin BobThere are lots of slang terms for jail. I've always loved the phrase "Crowbar Hotel."
He used to steal gamble and rob
He thought he was the smartest guy around
Well I found out last Monday that Bob got locked up Sunday
They've got him in the jailhouse way downtown
He's in the jailhouse now
He's in the jailhouse now
Well, I told him once or twice to stop playin cards and shootin dice
He's in the jailhouse now"
But there's also the Joint, the Pokey, the Calaboose, the Jug, the Pen, the Slammer, the Hoosegow...
But as far as I'm concerned, it just means BUSTED.

My favorite song lyrics on the topic of busted:
Spent sometime in San Francisco
I Spent a night there in the can
They threw this drunk man in my jail cell
I Took 15 dollars from that man
Left him my watch and my old house key
Don't want folks thinkin' that I'd steal
Then I thanked him as I was leaving, and
I headed out for Bakersfield
From the Buck Owens song, "Streets of Bakersfield" made famous more recently in the duet by Dwight Yoakum and Buck.
That pic's enough to keep me on the straight and narrow. What a richly textured shot. I can almost feel the weathered walls.
Busted indeed, and oh so perfectly matched to the theme.
and pretty. (God, I'm such a sucker for old buildings!)
