Thematic Photographic - Close up

"Thematic Photographic" - Carmi at the blog Written, Inc. presents a weekly themed photographic challenge. This week's theme is Closeup. Check in and see who else contributes photos based on this idea.

A ripe summer plum, its skin still frosted with bloom, full of sweet juice oozing from where the stem detached. It pools in the hollow and clings to the sides, a sweet shining meniscus of clear syrup.

Carmi says: "You see things differently when you position yourself closer than you otherwise would."

What an incredible image. You have real talent with the camera. I'm a bit envious. I hope the day is treating you well. Blessings...Mary

I can't decide which is better: your photography or your prose.

I took pictures of a car burning out on I-70/71 today. The office glass windows made them fuzzy, however. (I'm guessing someday we will get a thematic photography - cars burning on the highway, and I'm going to be ready.)

This picture reminds me of why I love photography: Because it makes me FEEL the subject. What an incredibly moving composition. I feel the need to find a plum in my fridge right now! Alas, I'll need to take a trip to the grocery. Tomorrow :)
