Thematic Photographic - Dotty

"Thematic Photographic" - Carmi at the blog Written, Inc. presents a weekly themed photographic challenge. This week's theme is Dotty. Check in and see who else contributes photos based on this idea.

This is a shot from beneath the shelter structure at the East L.A. Civic Center stop on the Gold Line train. The station's artwork is designed by Clement Hanami, and is called "Through the Looking Glass or Traveling at the Speed of Light Rail." To me it evokes giant steel and translucent paneled blossoms - like a true Alice In Wonderland outsized fantasy landscape.

The perforations in the steel leave show up as dotty as Lewis Carroll ever imagined.

Very pleasing visually - the color contrast, the shapes, the textures. Excellent pic!
