I caught a rare trick of the setting sun the other evening. As it dropped down behind buildings on Main Street in Santa Monica, its last rays lit the tips of these spires, as if they were candles.
It's the pylons at the front of the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, built in 1958 by architect Welton Becket.

Those are cool pics. I like the set standing by themselves, they almost look like a macro picture of candles in a row.

I think they look like our missile defense against the rocket attacks of the Lizard People.
