Weekly Jack - Day Spa

Jack, like many arctic dogs, has a double coat - there are coarse guard-hairs that help shed rain or snow and keep him dry, and there is an undercoat of fluffy hair that keeps him warm.

Each spring he sheds his winter undercoat, and frankly, it's a mess. He looks awful, with tufts and clumps of hair sticking out; if you touch him you can pull chunks of hair away. Our house looks awful too with tumbleweed-sized balls of hair drifting in the corners.

Jack and Cooper

Yesterday we finally made a connection with a traveling groomer. He had just finished grooming Jack's pal Cooper down the street.

He came by and oh, how Jack enjoyed his Day Spa!

He's all tired out now!

At least he doesn't hate it!

Some dogs do, you know.

Love how they left all the fur all over the drive way! LOL I was walking home from school with Flynn and his little gal pal and she said, "What's all this fur!??" I said, "I don't know. It looks like Jack exploded!"
