Arco Iris

This morning at 6:00 am,  [The Man I Love] woke me up and called me to come outside and see something. This is unusual for him - I'm usually awake at six, while he is in bed.

But it was too good to miss. A full-bow rainbow arched across the sky above the western mountains. The arc was too wide to capture in one camera image.

As we watched, and I tried my best to capture its image, the sun rose, painting the face of the mountains rich gold.

After a while, the colors brightened, and then, gradually, they faded in the morning light. We both went back to bed, and fell into a deep sleep.

I think this is going to be a pretty good day, don't you?

It's been years since I saw a rainbow anywhere near this good! It was the only time I's every seen a triple rainbow and reaches from one horizon to the other, like yours. Thanks for sharing your wonderful images!
