It's not easy being a single, lowercase letter in the internet. Some sites don't let you in without a minimum of three digits. It's also hard for people to see you're also a hyperlink.
Plus, there's another, more well-known upper case G in the bloggy world, and don't mean to steal her thunder.
I chose my moniker "g" a few years ago while spending a lot of time on political sites. It's non-gendered, mysterious, cryptic. Perfect for those political arguments where you don't want it to get personal. But not very welcoming on an individual blog. So I've returned to a name I used before "g" - when I first ventured out to explore the wide wide world of the internet. It was my first choice, because I identified with it deeply.

Bye bye g; hello Aunt Snow!
Uh-oh. Someone's going Hollywood! Please remember all of us little people as you climb over us on your way to the top of the heap.
Or: It's about time you got back to your roots!
Good assertive move either way.
Ok, G :)
