My kind of town

Click all photos to "embiggen"
This is my kind of town, Chicago is
My kind of town, Chicago is
My kind of people too
People who smile at you

The rooster's name is Garfield
And each time I roam, Chicago is
Calling me home, Chicago is
Why I just grin like a clown
It's my kind of town

Selling hot dogs can be big business
My kind of town, Chicago is
My kind of town, Chicago is
My kind of razzmatazz
And it has, all that jazz

And each time I leave, Chicago is
Tuggin' my sleeve, Chicago is
The Wrigley building, Chicago is

The Trump Building. Because Trump. (We hear the lower floors leak!)
The union stockyard, Chicago is
One town that won't let you down
It's my kind of town

Chicago is a great town, but it's been years since I've been there. I was seeing a transplanted Chicagoan for a while, but she moved back when her grandmother was getting a bit frail to take care of herself.

My son went to college there and decided to stay. He adores it, and I understand why. Can't wait to visit again.

Love, love, love Chicago. Did you go up to the deck at the Trump? We took our grandaughter on her seventh birthday up there for "drinks". It has a wonderful view, but we went because our GD thinks it's the coolest building in the world.
Love Wrigley and yes, the city is full of friendly, Midwestern people. I think the city has gotten a bad rap lately with the gang violence showcased on the news. I have never felt threatened there and the transportation system is awesome. Great museums, great shopping, great live shows and the food, awesome.
I think it's time to plan a trip on the train into the city.

This is fab! I've only been there once to visit (not counting stopovers). I loved it and not just for the pizza. :-)
