It's still June, and yesterday was particularly gloomy - it was gray all day, misting in the morning.
The beach looks different when it's gray. The sand seems warmer. The ocean blends into the clouds. Sounds are muted.
The bike path is almost deserted.
The shouts and kicks of a pick-up game of beach soccer are muffled.

The June Gloom persisted all the way up the coast on my drive home from the airport yesterday morning, and I used the wipers several times. When I turned inland at Gaviota, the fog was all the way to the top of Nojoqui grade. It was thick, and threatened to spill over the coastal mountains into our sunny valley. I wish I'd gotten a picture.
Quite a contrast to the day prior when you showed pictures of a crystal blue beach sky. What would do without the vagaries of weather?
I like the beach when there's less to share.
(Don't worry, I have never voted for a Republican, and I probably never will.)

Gray or not, the beach is a wonderful place to be. Love your pictures!

A gray day at the beach beats a rainy day at Barton Springs!
