It's another year, another spring, and the
Pacific Coast Hybrid Iris are in bloom in my garden again.
I just can't get enough of them.
Golden yellow veined with brown.
Violet, with a yellow throat.
These beauties are bred from our native Douglas iris, and they're tough. They're happy in the dry shade under our native oak trees.

Beautiful!
What will be blooming in your garden in June, when spring finally gets to Ohio?
(I'm in Myrtle Beach right now, loving it.)

Those Irises are just so lovely! I could do with some of them under my trees in some very dry shade!
But maybe they wouldn't like our wet winters?
I love Irises--especially the deep blue ones--and that's what my kids always buy me for birthdays and Mother's Day. It's nice when they notice your favorite flowers.
