Thematic Photographic - Edible

For the next week, Carmi's Thematic Photographic will be exploring the theme of...Edible

These French macarons are dusted with edible gold powder. Very elegant, don't you think?

They are sold at Jin Patisserie, on Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice, CA.

I have always loved eating gold leafed food! There is something decidedly decadent about it ... very Nero and all that LOL.

I went to the link, but unfortunately, they don't ship the gold leafed macaroons.

Maybe that's just as well!

Gold leaf, a little too decadent for me. Any old thing will do. Make pretty pictures though.

Oh, lord, those look good. Tristan, you read my mind...now I don't have to go to the site to be tempted by all the other goodies!!

Happy Easter, G! Great light in that photo. Those macaroons look dangerous, though.

oh, they look so good! I had these in Lyon on a press trip and they were amazing - and I had one in Montana last month that was just as good!
